What do men think of women who were raped?

I confessed to my bf that I was raped before and thus have trouble being intimate and still suffer from flashbacks of it at night and such. He told me that "there is no point in crying over spilled milk." Is this a typical response? Do most men just try to ignore? I am just curious and rather disappointed/confused as to how he could have said that.
